Biography
PDC, Geoff Lawton, 2018.  BFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1976.
Architectural photographer, "fix-it man", age 73.

I have enjoyed a freelance career in fine and applied arts my entire life, mostly in the company of nationally recognized mentors. Guys like Robert Fulton, who proudly offered me a glimpse of the world's first flying car. Jim Fosgate, who invited me to visit his personal electronica workshop, where his 6-axis Dolby Pro Logic II literally brought Aretha's voice back from the grave. Soon after, Uncle Paul Klipsch actually assisted me on my last small commercial audio job!

In my heart I'll always be a 2D artist, a painter and still photographer. To be great, Ansel Adams' suggested one must master the skill of  Pre-and-Post Visualization. This became a guiding light for me. Our schools label it Systems Thinking. And in Permaculture it underpins everything we do.

I used it in conjunction with food grade clay to address parasites. Neither displayed a significant effect.
HOWEVER, 2-4 Tablespoons per week made my Gray hair turn back to a healthy rich Brown. Cool, right?

I am 73. This was likely due to replenishment of vital Collagen. First, I wondered, could the parasites actually inhabit the scalp, and if so how does one address that?
Now I'm onto Health Ranger's Collagen Peptides. In a month or so, I'll let y'all know as I quantify any specific results.

"Shhhh, Don't say PERMACULTURE!" -is the way I was thinking I would title my first new Permies post. Vital in this context because it provides a launchpad for a discussion about our deeper purposes and collective reasoning. You know, the actual permanent part, Chapter 14.

I am not a horticulturist, but an infrastructure guy and a soil building realist. I grapple with the fact that so many people around the world are suffering badly. Most are fighting against a broken system and invisible enemies. Today, (10/1/2006,) Paris is literally burning down. Throughout Europe and the world, people are fervently 'marching' against government trespass via legislative overreach. A better tactic would have been to skip school and work, power down the stupid 'devices' and just stay home.

Speaking of the home front; if downsizing for survival means moving into "the Boxes" you can count me out! Most of our Metropolitan cities have become unlivable. These places inherently depreciate people's lives. Everyone's individuality, sensitivity and creativity (read grasp of reality) is deliberately being diminished in a sea of mindless regularity.

So, we go looking for an affordable piece of land. Maybe we'll explore Missouri, or the Ozark Mountains. Or, maybe it dawns on us that it takes vision and cooperation to build a fully livable community. One that isn't so far from home.
