I am also looking to gain experience in NorCal, currently living in Bay area

I am 31 male. I am an indigo or so I always believed. I live in the Bay Area, CA and have been working in an industry that I am less than passionate about. Looking for change and hope to learn more about your plans and progress. Please message me.

I am very interested in this, although I have not yet mentioned it to my wife. I am 31 working in the banking industry for several years and wanting to get out. I am and always have been very passionate about health and the great outdoors. I love nature and eating off the land and enjoying quiet peaceful moments in nature. For the past few years I have taken a greater interet in permaculture watching dozens of ecobuilding/sustainability videos and growing crops in order to become less reliant on the retail industry.

My name is Kyle and I would like to know more about your community structure including room & board, meals, productivity/work, and financial requirements. I do not require much as I consider myself a minimalist in many ways. I enjoy interacting with others from all walks of life and constantly look for value in my social interactions and in the ways in which I can contribute to bringing joy and knowledge to others while always remaining a student myself. Please tell me more. You may message me if you like.

Thank you for the post! Some of us do not have 200,000 and so being able to afford any piece of land on this beautiful planet is of great value to some of us regardless of road conditions and temperatures. Our ancestors and many indigenous people around the world have thrived in worse conditions. Still, I do value your honest assessment.

As far as water, there are springs all over CA where water can be hauled in from. Check out www.findaspring.com

For me personally, living on ANY piece of land that is my own would be substantially more beneficial to me than paying rent (paying another persons bils) for the rest of my life, and more preferable to me than working a 9-5 job that I hate until I'm 65 and dying without ever really having time to LIVE.

Again, just my personal perspective on things. I definately will be buying land next year. I am 30 and do not want to waste anymore of my life working for the 'uncle' without having anything to call 'my own'.

If you spend the time I spent to locate the right seller, you can get 2.5 acres in California Valley for less than $5000.  If you wait until the right moment you can find for half that.  California Valley is in eastern San Luis Obispo County amidst the Carrizo Plain.  It's not for everyone, but if you or anyone is interested I will help you find a lot.  The best part about California Valley is there are more than 300 days of sunshine (the largest solar farm was constructed there in the past and in the future will be three solar farms).

I am very interested in land in CA as well. Could you provide me with some additional assistance in this task? May I contact you by email to chat more? Thanks
Thanks. Craigslist is awesome, I found some land in Oregon where I plan on moving next year. I am seeking land as close to Bend, OR as possible as I am planning to assist a family in their cob cottage workshops and holistic/natural living workshops.

I also want everyone in OR reading this post who is interested in cob building to contact me as we could start a cob-building work party together and help build each other's homes!
I currently live in Union City, CA working for a bank, living frugally, saving $. I should have nearly 10K by February. I am wondering if anyone knows of land for sale right now that is priced under 10K. Also, does anyone know of any websites that list land for sale by the owner to where I would not need to deal with banks. Thank you for any help!
I am learning a lot about cob building and I will have $5000 by february which could assist in building many homes for your community, cob ovens, cob saunas, cob hot tubs, and much more. I have a few connections and it will not be difficult to attract volunteers to this cause to assist in the building processes. My email is kylejamesp81@yahoo.com

Hi I have been searching for a community to join for a while. What sort of housing do you have? Are you open to cob building or earthbag building? What I have to offer is a deep understanding of many spiritual principles including the law of attraction which is always in effect.

More tangibly speaking, I am in good shape and will work very hard for your community if I were to be accepted. I also have a good understanding of herbology and making tinctures, elixirs, and medicinal extracts. I have excellent credit and a great resume as well which would make it easy for me to find a local part time job to help raise money for your community. I am also skilled in website building, marketing, social networking, SEO (search engine optimization) which may be of use if you plan on working on a website.

However, I am wanting to leave the city and would be happy not putting any of those computer skills to use ever again, lol  My dream is definately to join a holistic community which yours seems to be based on your message. How can I get in further touch with you?

We are on 3 acres of land and starting a community of Earthhome-builders who want to assist in building Earthbag homes and Cob Cottages in Bend, Oregon. We have been researching various building techniques using the resources available in this desert region of OR.

Any volunteers are welcome who are either seeking cob-building experience, wanting to join a friendly earth-loving community, or to just have fun building with the resources of our blessed Mother Earth!

Contact us at Cobprojectcampus@usa.com or at kylejamesp81@yahoo.com

Thanks and Namaste!
