Hey Guy's my name is Billy and I am an oldster newbie . Have been studying, learning, and interning for the last coupla years and finally decided to take the plunge. Just bought 6 acres and a cabin in North Florida and have no idea what I'm gonna do or where to start, but want to do it all! I feel comfortable in my knowledge so far to grow my own food and many medicinal herbs, but I got a lot to learn and a long way to go, so if ya'll ever around N fl. give me a holler and we'll talk. I am patiently waiting until March when I begin my apprenticeship at a place called "Mountain Gardens" in Burnsville NC. It is truly a wonderful place in the foot hills of the Black Mountains. Joe has 4 acres and he specializes in Western and Chinese herbs, but also all you are looking for and more. He hosts permaculture classes from NC state, teaches classes in about everything you can imagine. He has been there 40 yrs. There is no stipend, but everything you need for living work, and shelter is provided. Check it out. Peace
