This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEA curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

Let's make some wood burned art!  It could be a sign, a decorated wood box, your entry door or something else.

Signs at the lab

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 - Art takes up at least one square foot (wide, tall or any combination adding up to a square foot)
 - Lettering and images are burned
 - Must finish with tung oil or linseed oil (or else the burned image disappears in sunlight)

To document your completion of the BB, provide pics or video (<2 min) of the following:
 - The wood and your burning tools
 - The artwork getting burned
 - The artwork getting oiled

Clarifications:
 - No plywood, OSB or particle board - use raw natural wood

Farmers know to never drive a tractor near a honey locust tree. But a tiny ad is okay:
