This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Tool care.

A good friend of mine measured the complexity of your life by how many inflated tires you own.  Mainly because he always had a flat tire somewhere on his property.  Let's learn how to fix them ourselves!

Here's a video of what we're after:

Minimum requirements:
 - Fix a flat tire on a piece of equipment that weighs at least 300 lbs (car, riding mower, atv, etc)
 - You can fix it on the rim or remove the tire from the rim if you need
 - Do not use "Fix-a-Flat" or similar materials

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
 - Flat tire
 - Soapy bubbles or clear cause of flat (mark the spot somehow for later)
 - Midway through fixing the flat
 - Inflated tire with non-bubbly soapy water on the same spot

CAUTION! Do not touch the blades on your neck propeller while they are active. Tiny ad:
