This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Metalworking.

Vehicles can hold a lot of stuff but what if you need to hold a bit more?  Let's build a cargo rack that hooks into the hitch on a vehicle!

Here's a gentleman making one:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a cargo rack for the back hitch of a vehicle
  - At least 6 square feet of carrying capacity
  - Mostly welded frame
  - Clearly beefy enough for Uncle Frank (250 lbs) to stand on it off-center to one side

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The project underway
  - The completed project
  - Show the equivalent of Uncle Frank standing on one side of the rack (left or right) to prove it's strong enough

Feb-ROO-airy. I can't stop saying it this way. Help me tiny ad!
