i'm way up north here in siskiyou county, north of the marble mountains =)
but somehow you all are close ish, california close anyway. i've lived up here before years ago, then lived on the coast for a long time, but i have just moved back to this area and am settling in....still getting used to the bioregion, and the sun and heat especially. spent so long on the foggy coastline....
spent an awesome day today wandering around the forest and getting to know the many
trees and plants =)
found lots of walnuts, huge pinecones, choke cherries, big leaf maples, and all sorts of interesting things!
yeah...i am also not looking for this excellent job that you are offering, just wanted to say hi.
i feel like i can do the sort of thing you are talking about, and i encourage you to take it on yourself...but hey, whatevers clever if you dont feel ready to without help. i do what i do mostly by feel, and in time, slowly, of course thats how these things go...try to tune in on an intuitively level...try to see how the
land wants to be...if this makes sense to you. it just sort of comes to me, like the ideas i get wont leave me alone till i make it happen...or whatever other ways of feeling it intuitively...

! I too am new (2 years) to the area and even though I've done designs before, I don't think of myself as familiar enough with the region yet to presume to advise anyone.
