Hello,

We are a couple who are presently doing a natural building course and PDC with Permaculture Eden in France. We are keen on finding ourselves a piece of land where we can start using our skills and set up a lovely permaculture homestead. We would like to find something in Europe preferably in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal. Ideally we would like at least 1 hectare or more of land with a house on the property. We would also like to either be near mountains or near the Ocean. If the land already has some kind of perennial food plants/trees that would be great. We would like to be near a vibrant city where there is lots of diversity and interesting things happening.

If someone knows of anything that might be of interest to us it would be greatly appreciated if you could let us know.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I have a place in Asturias, northern Spain for sale. Please see my recent post advertising it, with photos and details. But it has an off-grid cabin rather than a house. But on the other hand there are aboyt 15 seven year old fruits trees, and 10 mature edible chestnuts which produce vast amounts of chestnuts. A spring comes up on the land, which is now hooked up to a standpipe. Anyway, lots of detail and photos in my post.

Even if my place does not suit, I suggest looking into Asturias for your search. It is wetter than most of Spain, so good for food production. It is near the sea and mountains and the land is quite cheap. The surf is also excellent, which was a big motivation for me. I really like the scenery and it has quite an intact rural culture. The surf is also excellent, which was a big motivation for me.

Please leyt me know if you have any questions

Liam

Hi Liam, I was just thinking about homesteading in Europe. Spain would be amazing. Did you ever sell your place? What does a place cost over there? Are there any Little Farms for sale?
