A few years back, I was corrected on my use of 'Netflix and chill' and what it really means. Haha!

Just yesterday, I received a follow-up e-mail from a professional workshop I attended (given by a lawyer no less!), that included 'thanks for hooking up with us.'

Uh, did he really write that? Am I super silly to be sniggering at what the 'kids these days' consider a hook up?

To the best part of the "new slang" is that the speakers have no idea of what I mean when I say they are speaking the colloquial language of the day.
Of course they can't make change, or tell time from an old fashioned clock face either.

Some of our residents here go "doogie hunting."

(I don't even know how to spell that! Does it have a 'k' instead of a 'g'?)

With lots of deer and elk passing through, it's an easily gathered garden fertilizer!

This thread makes me think of one of my favorite phrases:

When it is used for evil, then watch out! When it is used for good, then things are much nicer. Like this tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
