Just posting pics
to get some
feed back. Tbe idea behind our tiny growing area is to produce
enough food gor ourselves, our dogs, the pigs , ducks and
chickens when they come. We are following Carol Deppes 5 main foods and then throwing in whatever will fit in the spaces. My ingenious dried bean/potato/peas/squash bed worked a treat and I will be repeating those all the way up the fruit field. We had a very late start due to flooding but my hopes are very high for next year thanks to new friends at Adaptive Seeds - such great service!
Just prepping a clover bed to take overwintering beetroo , sprouts (sorry Paul), and onions all mixed together, and another for broadbeans and planting sweetcorn inbetween in the spring to get some
shelter and soil support.
So excited
Swales are going in the pig field and a
hugel bed in the
pond field. Eventually we will puttung in more nuts in the garden field but we have to have a septic tank put in across the whole field. Boooooo.🙁
