Good day all. We  recently bought our farm in western North Carolina. It has a Maple Pro syrup evaporator in one of the outbuildings. It’s one of those big mammoth setups and since we do not have plans for large scale sugaring we would more than likely want to sell this evaporator and most of the sugaring equipment. Anybody know how I would find out what a fair price would be?  I’ll try and snap some pics this weekend.

Thanks in advance!

Nice inheritance!  I didn't realize there was much maple syrup boiled in NC.  Mapletrader.com and sugarbush.info are two maple forums that have classified sections.  You might get an idea of value in there.  Or search the Vermont Craigslist or other syrup producing states to see if other folks are selling similar rigs.

I think people use syrup evaporators for sorghum or molasses so maybe there's a market to your south as well.

Thanks Mike. It’s quite the inheritance indeed, along with many other cool things we’ve found in our new homestead. I’ll check those links. Thank you!

If you are using a wood chipper, you are doing it wrong. Even on this tiny ad:
