Steve Jobs didn't need to die from pancreas cancer. The Gerson therapy has cured many cases of pancreas cancer since the 1930's !

And they don't use chemicals, they use nutrition. Mostly juicing vegetables in a very specific way.

To learn about it you don't need to read Max Gerson's book, that would take a long time.

You can watch Steven Kroschel's movies about the Gerson therapy.

"The Gerson Miracle", "Dying to have known", and "The Beautiful Truth".

I think they are on Netflix these days too.

Gerson therapy is popular in Maxico, Hungary, and Japan. But of ocurse doctors aren't allowed to administer it here in the USA. Vegetables are literally illegal for treating cancer in America. The cancer industry makes too much money selling chemicals.

So if you have cancer you can go to a Gerson clinic in Mexico, or you can simply do it at home.

What (?) cure cancer at home ? Yes, they teach you how to do it at home.

Does it sound too good to be true ? Well you can watch a few movies so easily, go find out for yourself

It's a profound lesson, that Steve Jobs can die from something that is curable. He had all the money in the world but now the right information.

And I don't take this stuff lightly, 2 of my family members died from cancer when I was younger. I didn't know about it back then, I will always wonder - if I had known about it could I have saved them ?

Dorance Conway and Gayton Champagn, 2 victims of the cancer industry. I miss those guys!

I can't save those guys, but maybe you can save your guys ?

So look it up, then spread the word.

Cancer is curable without chemicals, and it has been since the 1930's !

I like that Dr. Mercola

He's one of a hand full of "info warriors" I subscribe to.

Regarding that link, he's talking about the movie "Food Matters", Charlotte Gerson is actually in the movie

"Food Matters" is great

Here is the Netflix link for that :

http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Food-Matters/70123196?strkid=908347582_0_0&lnkctr=srchrd-sr&strackid=5ee7ebdf81315b72_0_srl&trkid=222336

And the IMDB link :

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1528734/

In Food Matters Dr. Andrew Saul resolves psychiatric problems with high doses of vitamins.

His website is full of very interesting articles :

They explain it in the films. Doctors in America can only use pharmaceuticals or surgery to treat cancer.

If a doctor find that, for a fake example, banana peels cure cancer; he can not legally prescribe it. He can only use surgery, chemo-therapy, or approved drugs.

The fight against cancer is fought with one hand tied behind the back !

I am a computer repair guy, not a lawyer or doctor, so I'm sure I explain it awkwardly. But I encourage you to watch the 3 films, they are free and interesting, easy to watch.

The cure for cancer has been known for along time, but it's not patentable (like banana peels can't be patented, for a fake example). Therefore it's not interesting to the corporations.

After you watch the films look up "G Edward Griffin". While Max Gerson was finding vegetables in a certain way can cure cancer, G Edward Griffin was finding a completely different cure called Vitamin B17.

Cancer is curable without drugs or surgery

Cheers,
Craig

I'm sure there's some confusion.  Doctors often prescribe diet to treat various illnesses, it is not illegal.

People often claim things are illegal which are not actually illegal.

I'm not a representative, be sure to check out the films to get the wording right.

And the Gerson therapy isn't just a diet, it's a specific regiment. An alternative cancer treatment.

As is vitamin B17

I can't represent these amazing people well so you much watch the films, I just sound like a computer repair guy LOL

I'm questioning the specific claim that it is illegal for a doctor to prescribe vegetables to treat cancer, not about the treatment being efficacious or not.

I have a superstitious fear of conventional "medical" treatments for cancer, which I think are all poisons.

I think it's better to say that cancer is largely preventable or treatable, but not necessarily "curable." That seems a little too certain, a little too absolute. Cancer's a little more complicated than getting over a flu or a cold where the virus or bacteria are flushed from your system. But I do think there's a great deal of evidence and support that veggies, fruits, natural medicines, and healthy living can prevent, treat, and kill cancer. Cure cancer 100%? Only time tells.

I've watched "Food Matters" and have heard of "Dying to Have Known" and "The Beautiful Truth." I've been trying to make time to watch those two on Netflix, perhaps now I'll boost them up to higher priority.

About it being illegal for doctors to prescribe medicine to cancer patients... well I think the definition of "prescribe" needs to be clarified. Because I think that "prescribe" probably has a different legal meaning to doctors as "advise." Doctors may not write out a prescription slip for vegetable juicing recipes. That (and other prescriptions in that vein), if NOT illegal, is certainly not done AFAIK, and it wouldn't surprise me if it is because it is illegal as the film claims. But doctors may advise patients on complementary therapies and healthy lifestyle choices in general. And I think some do, if they're good doctors.

I don't know if it is illegal for doctors to advise a patient on diet as a treatment.
But I have heard doctors say that if they do not offer (encourage?) surgery or chemo for cancer, that they are open to a lawsuit for not providing suitable treatment.
"Suitable" of course being defined by those who make a profit off of surgery and chemo.

Also there is the survey of oncologists which asked them if they would prescribe chemo or surgery for their family member with cancer. A huge majority say they would not.
I don't know what they would prescribe for their family member.

Pharmacies do not sell vegetables, therefore it would be ridiculous for doctors to "prescribe" vegetables in that sense of the word "prescribe."

Not being encouraged to do something is not the same as that thing being illegal. Being vulnerable to a lawsuit does not mean one is doing something illegal.  Anyone can be sued for anything at any time.    A doctor can be sued for looking at a patient funny.  Doctors take out huge insurance policies to protect themselves from malpractice suits, which can be leveled at them for any reason a patient or a patient's family are unhappy with the outcome of any treatment.

In my opinion.

From the Wiki:

Initially, patients were required to drink several glasses of raw calf liver extract daily. Following an outbreak of Campylobacter infection linked to the Gerson clinic's extract, which sickened and killed several of the clinic's patients,[11] carrot juice was substituted.

Sounds like a good "cure."

I don't think wikipedia is a good source of information, esp. about something that is controversial and not in the mainstream.
I personally know people who have been cured of cancer with Gerson's treatment. Not scientific - I realize - anecdotal, but jus saying'.....

If I had cancer I would certainly consider Gerson.

the cancer industry and the pharmaceutical/medical industry has Billion$ of reasons to discredit any treatment that does not rely on surgery and drugs.

Wiki has many good articles on the sciences and other subjects written by knowledgeable contributors. Of course, it depends on which article is in question, but generally they are.

If people understood cancer more, you would see a lot of cancer cases probably never happen. Current diets rich in HFCS, processed starch, trans-fats, etc. and living in environments and eating food contaminated with pollution, etc. are raising rates far beyond what should be negligible or minimal.

yes I agree. Besides for a very small number of cases where something break or mutation happens genetically, I believe all cancers are environmentally caused. (internal or external environment- but the external environment is pretty much beyond our effect)

I dont know about the US but here in the UK doctors often advice cancer patients to change to a diet extremely high in antioxidants, fresh fruit and veg and low in fat and meat. I dont think they advice enemas though :-p.

Personally I dont trust anyone who claims to 'cure' cancer. The effectiveness of treatment is measured by survival times, even people deemed to be completely rid of it can have it come back years or even decades later. I totally accept that science can be, and often is, biased to the current paradigm even if its rubbish. But if they really have been curing people for close on 100 years they should have enough evidence to berry any detractors under a mountain of proof, they dont seem to have anything other than anecdotes. Weather you like it or not, think its biased or corrupt (in other words done badly) science is the best way we have of finding the truth. If you have something that works proving it shouldn't be that hard. You will probably be ignored for a decade or so but eventually it will be accepted. If you never try to prove it it will never get accepted.

Cancer treatment has a certain protocol here in the US, in all states except CA. That protocol was researched and developed by the Merck Co. and the USDA has adopted that as the "official" and best overall treatment for cancer. If you have a child, say, in any state but CA and you wish to pursue all-natural treatment for their cancer that does NOT include surgery, radiation or chemo then, yes, that child can legally be removed from your care due to your "neglect" in seeking the treatment that is recommended to be the most effective by the USDA.

Hence, the illegal part of seeking alternative cancer treatment in 49 states of the US. Doctors, therefore, have to recommend the accepted protocol for cancer treatment because, if their patient was to die after a recommendation for an all-natural regimen of care, any family member seeking recompense could not only hang that doctor out to dry but could also have his medical license removed for "neglect" of his patient.

Incidentally..the same company that developed the protocol for cancer treatment is also a leader in the making of chemo drugs. Sort of like the fox in the hen house, isn't it?

I dont wont to sound like a corporate stooge or anything but that sounds perfectly sensible to me. Ok so you mite believe you have a treatment that works and if it was you that had cancer you would be allowed to treat yourself or not with whatever you wonted, but what right do you have to inflict a 'treatment' that may have no benefit on a child. Ok so you mite truly believe that this natural treatment works, would you be ok with a family denying there child treatment in favor of one they truly believed worked, like exorcism? Or spiritual healing? Without evidence the state has no way of distinguishing between something that mite work and exorcism. Refusing a child treatment that is known to be efficacious in favor of one that may have no benefit at all could have the same outcome as killing the child, and you cant expect a state to be ok with that.

Whatever you think about chemo and radiation they do work. Yes they are horrible nasty toxic things that are not nice to receive but they do kill cancer quite a lot of the time. If you wont to be able to use this natural treatment you should ask why they haven't been able to show it works as well or better. If they had doctors would be able to prescribe it.

Seriously? Let's think about that for a moment..... why they don't research and prescribe natural methods or cures for cancer..... you know, those natural things that no drug company holds a patent upon?

Cancer is a multi-billion dollar business in the US alone.....BILLIONS. I have been an oncology nurse, so I am full aware of the ins and outs of cancer treatment. I've also been a hospice nurse for the past 4 years, so I also know full well the so-called "efficacy" of chemo and radiation.

I have one thing to say ~follow the money.

As I said in a previous post, at least here in the uk doctors do advice a diet that has been shown to improve the outcome of cancer patients, it doesn't cure them but it does improve there chances.

My point is that you dont need multi billion dollar trials to at least get noticed. If you have been curing people for 90 odd years all you need are a few details of like 10% of those patients, there names and there diagnosis of cancer. Then by now you would presumably have the records of hundreds of people who were diagnosed with cancer who went on not to die, after being treated with this alone, records that could be checked and verified. That would be enough to make anyone take notice, if not by doctors then they media would love it. I dont see any reason why they wouldn't have that kind of information. Moreover, if they have been curing people for that long and not been keeping the records that could result in there treatment being recognized, and therefor available to thousands more people, why the hell not?

There are numerous conspiracies for 'suppressed' cancer cures.
This website has a forum for the Big Conspiracy aficionados.

http://ask.abovetopsecret.com/

The cure for cancer is known but Big Pharma is suppressing it! Reptilian, Alien, Shape shifters rule the word! There's a cure for AIDS! America started the AIDS epidemic in Africa, Jews rule the World Economy...
blah blah blah!

I used to work in the medical industry (though only once with cancer and only pain relief). I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle of all this.

The thing is that clinical trials are horrendously expensive. Some research shows that while the FDA does prevent deaths because they prevent horrible scandals like the Thalidomide scandal in Europe 30 years ago (FDA stopped it entering the American Market), the same mechanism also prevent new efficacious medicine from entering the market and in effect killing more people from medicine not developed (it is impossible to estimate exactly how many). The bar has been set so high that in effect only big pharma can compete ... It is illegal to conduct clinical trials on cancer patients without using some of the proven methods. Any data collected without double blinding will be discarded as unscientific - so proving that something is more efficacious than the proven methods is almost impossible. You are only allowed to test on terminal patients.

That being said - Steve Jobs was a vegetarian (and I do believe he would eat largely organic...) and avoided conventional treatment for a form of cancer that usually don't kill because the conventional methods usually cure it... He is not a cover example for alternative medicine as a cure for cancer.

If I should get cancer one day - or my kids should - I would go all in, and if the doctors said jump I'd jump But I would also take hemp seed oil and juice like crazy.

As a person who has actually taken several courses of chemo drugs - albeit not for cancer but they are used as immunosuppressants for those of us who suffer from really aggressive autoimmune disease - I can tell you that I would not be alive today if it weren't for these drugs. I can also tell you that people really WANT to find something that you, as a "sick" person, did "wrong" so that they can blame you for your illness and feel safe and secure in their own choices - be it food, herbs, exercise, bottled water, faith healing, leeches....whatever.

People fear the unknown. People want to believe that they can do something to prevent bad things from happening to them. Alternatively, if something bad has already happened to them, they want to believe that there is a secret cure out there just waiting to be had. Or maybe some tweak to their diet, that will allow them to regain the old, carefree life they used to live.

I get that impulse - I do.

However, what this usually leads to is a really TOXIC dose of "blame the victim". Which, quite honestly, is one of the LEAST healing things to be around, ever.

What I wish is that people would get that "shit happens". It can happen to anyone - no matter what precautions you take. Right before getting this damned disease I rode my bike 16 miles RT every day to work. I sat on a stability ball at my desk. I ran an organic produce buying club with my best friend. I did shots of probiotics. A bunch of us walked at lunchtime. I've also been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for 30 years and a competitive athlete in swimming, sailing, powerlifting and triathlons... And I've always been "overweight" as per the BMI charts.

Two things that folks in the "cure all" group really do over look is:
--the role of genetics - I am a third generation autoimmune sufferer in my family and recent research is showing a propensity for autoimmune triggers to be passed genetically
--the role of pollutants in the environment - this was just reviewed in an article I got through Green Prophet (a middle eastern environmental blog). Remember that we ingest pollutants in food, water, air. We take in pollutants through our skin, nose and mouth (and other openings if you want to go "there"). Pollution in drylands is particularly problematic because we have less biomass to filter this stuff out.

So the upshot of all this - be KIND to those whom you know that may suffer from some illness. DO NOT blame the victim - it's toxic behavior and is terribly hurtful and demoralizing to the person being blamed. Ask yourself if you found yourself in the same position - would YOU like to be offered every wacky "fix" in the book OR be blamed for something that at the current time really has no "answer".

A power lifter. Jennifer has been doing plenty of heavy lifting around here.

My sister died of a brain tumor when she was 36 after 5 years of treatment. The snake oil people were all over her. Most were well meaning amateurs who had no financial motive.

When I was a kid, we had a guy named Danny at our church. He had a bone disease that caused breakage and stunted growth. He showed up at faith healing meetings and when the call came out, he would hobble to the front and throw down his canes. The preachers (3 to 5) at the base of the stage, spent much more time with old ladies who needed help with arthritis, hearing or vision problems than they did with Danny. They could yell at old Mrs. Schwartz and convince her that her hearing was improving. The extent of Danny's deformity made it clear to me that he would be passed over once again. Lack of faith is often cited in cases like his. The more "sophisticated" healing shows on TV segregate those whose obvious deformity would be glaringly obvious if a healing were claimed. They are not camera friendly.

This sort of faith healing is on the wane, but the TV and internet are full of those with incredible cure claims. They often have something useful in their arsenal, such as vitamin rich berries, and a call for stress reduction. The shows always seem to have a "doctor". Our hippy dippy culture has chosen to bestow this title upon many snake oil salesmen. Alternative this and that. Medieval hocus pocus now has publicly funded schools in some countries. I've met more than my share of these doctors. A five minute chat generally reveals that I'm in poor intellectual company. You can actually go to school for years to become a doctor of nothing. Nothing but a bunch of wild claims that a child could debunk.

First of all - I'm sorry about your sister. And I agree that most people giving advice do it as "well-meaning" and have nothing to financially gain from it. Some people can accept a polite "No thank you." Some still persist - thinking that if you'd just try "cure X" that they read about, you'd be healed and cannot fathom why you would NOT try it. Thinking about this always makes me smile and shake my head. If I tried every "cure" that's ever been proposed to me it would not only include endless contradictions but take thousands of dollars, and more time than two full time jobs.

One friend tried to tell me juicing was the answer to all my problems. She came to juicing from a diet that included a lot of convenience foods and some fast food. I heard, ad nauseum, that I needed more fruits and veg in my diet (keep in mind that for all my adult life I've gotten at LEAST 5 servings of these a day and mostly 7-10 servings). She proposed this to me when I was going through another flare of this illness and was taking chemo drugs again and corticosteroids - the effect of both on my system was extreme fatigue, everything tasted like metal, large weight gain, hair loss, Cushing syndrome, and PAIN. Somehow she expected me to not only juice (which takes time and energy) but also to create a bunch of raw food dishes. Hard to do when you can barely get out of bed most days! I note that she did not offer to come over and do these things for me.... Now, 10 months later, she is over the whole raw vegan thing but does juice once a day - it works for her and I'm happy for her.

More than a few armchair experts on this thread...

i've been an organic gardener/consumer for over two decades, never knowingly consumed aspartame, and generally avoided most processed food, HFCS (don't live in the US), made my own kefir, yoghurt, (both from organic A2 Raw Milk--very difficult to locate since I've moved to B.C. Canada) kombucha etc. Yes I've juiced frequently too.

Still was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in July 2011 with guarded prognosis. Have endured 16 weeks of chemo this year (cyclophosphomide/bortezomib/dexamethazone) from July to late October to either 'minimal effect' or 'unfortunately this treatment didn't work in your case'=two opinions from two different oncologist at the Cancer Clinic in Victoria, B.C.
Am currently in Europe having spent the last 6 weeks pursuing 'a novel treatment' at a private clinic in Switzerland at significant personal expense. Can't say much more at this stage for two reasons--I won't know what impact it has had until I return to Canada for another round of tests in mid January plus I had to sign a confidentiality contract not to disclose the treatment protocol on 'any blog, social media, forums or similar' Not sure how enforceable that would be, but can say I'm feeling a whole lot better than I have in moths and even looking forward to planning a spring garden in a few short weeks!

I certainly agree with Jennifer that it is not helpful to be inundated with off the wall suggestions from well meaning friends/family/acquaintances, but have now learned to simply smile and thank them for caring about me, which is easy to do and avoids the conversation escalating into a conflab.

I actually think Max Gerson was onto something, but it is worthwhile to remember he has been gone for over 50 years and there has been a huge amount of research in the intervening period. There is even a great deal offered within the US--both the Riordan clinic in Wichita, Kansas and Nicholas Gonzalez in New York are two that come to mind. Curiously one of the longest known survivors of my condition after declining conventional was the Oxford Don, Michael Gearin-Tosh who followed a modified Gerson for about 13 years, yet the Gerson site itself has a page/comment that it is not effective with this cancer.

Also for what it's worth coffee enemas were widely used in the 50's and earlier and were also in the Merck manual until the mid 70's I think.
This is yet another illustration of folk mocking a treatment when they know little about it--kinda what you meet on a regular basis when you attempt to explain some permaculture approaches to neophytes eh?

As I understand it Steve Jobs had an aggressive pancreatic Cancer--it is a notoriously difficult cancer to treat, especially when advanced. Likewise the cancer which took Steve McQueen 30 years earlier (pleural mesothelioma in that case) was blamed on alternative treatment he followed late in the course of his disease.

Just my two cents...

Edith - thank you for your story and my VERY BEST wishes on your new treatment.

I, too, have tried several alternative treatments - especially when I first was diagnosed - actually before a diagnosis was made - took several months to get that (Wegener's Granulomatosis). Acupuncture alleviated some of the initial symptoms which were sinus related but soon, it couldn't keep up with the progression of the disease and more damage occurred (keep in mind that the original manifestation of this disease simply looked like a sinus infection that would NOT die). Massage has helped with pain. At some point I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia - often a go-along with autoimmune diseases - this made any kind of "touching" incredibly painful, sometimes to the point of screaming into a pillow. Pain meds didn't even touch it so I rarely ever took any - still don't.

Moderate exercise helps a bunch. However the trick is to define "moderate" - the definition of which can change from day to day. On one day "moderate" may be getting out of bed and getting dressed - this is certainly the case when the disease is in full flare. On other days, gentle work in the yard for a couple of hours is doable. It's really frustrating that these two types of days can literally fall back-to-back. If you somehow mistake a "getting out of bed day" for a "gentle garden work day" there is hell to pay on subsequent days.

There is also something else in being a "sickie" - and it is something beautiful. Without going through the strife of illness and all the chaos it's caused in my life, I would never have slowed down enough to enjoy simpler pleasures, or removed stressors from my life, or truly expressed to all the good people in my life how wonderful it is that they are my friends, family, neighbors and cohorts in permaculture (that's you all!) I am constantly astonished at how much gratitude fills my life as it becomes necessary for me to rely on others for certain things. Truly this disease is also a gift. It also allows me to demonstrate several permaculture principles to myself, such as "working with what you've got", "the problem is the solutions", "each element has many functions and each function is supported by many elements", and on and on.

I read that paper about South Africa. Shocking.

But, more important than that. MY CURE FOR EVERYTHING

No whiskey unfortunately.
The "special serum" is a concoction that I make in my sink. I got the recipe from an angel who came to me in a dream. It's an extremely diluted product. In fact, the more dilute the medicine, the better it works.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had planned to reveal my formula, so that I could single handedly relieve all pain and suffering for all time, but some heavies from a drug cartel have threatened my life. They tell me that free medicine is bad for business. Therefore I must charge $39.95 for the Angel Therapy. Still not a bad deal, considering the benefits. I'm selling franchises for $50,000. This is a steal, since there will be only 7000 distributors. This guarantees everyone a million customers. It's a chance to make $40,000,000 even if each customer only buys once !!! Everyone gets a nice official looking name badge that says "Regional Vice President". Call today.

You forgot about "get in on the ground floor" and the multi-level marketing (Ponzi) schtick.

Thank you --- R Scott --- for your interest in Angel Therapy. As a franchise owner, you will enjoy the full support of our team. Once we finalize the financial details, our support team will help you set up local distribution. A bottle of Angel Water will be sent to you by courier. The package will also contain a mixing bottle. Fill this 1 gallon bottle with regular water and one drop of Angel Water. This will provide enough product for your first 100 customers.

As a medical practitioner, you are likely to elicit jealous responses from your colleagues in medicine. We advise that you not engage anyone who has been trained in the corrupt training systems for regular medicine. The internet is filling up with huge amounts of negative press about us. One of our technicians will set up your computer to filter out all of this hateful garbage. As I'm sure you're aware, the regular banks can't be trusted. We have trusted financial partners in the Cayman Islands where all transactions are processed.

Your name does not reveal your gender. We have a special program for female distributors that gives you up to a week of one on one time with our founder, Dr. Dale. This service is included when you join our team. The charismatic Dr. Dale will show you the ropes.

If this message was sent in error, please notify us and you will be taken off our mailing list within 24 years hours.

The south african stuff is very scary . I would recommend the Book the chapter comes from " Bad science " by Ben Goldberg . He really has a go at both Big Pharma AND Quack Medicine !
I am impressed with the Homeopathic properties of Angel tears but what is to stop someone making the potion even stronger and diluting it even more and making more money by accident!
Does the IRS know about this or shall we keep it secret ?
