Hello.  Recently, I have decided to go partially off-grid and build a self-sustaining, eco-friendly home within the next 5 years.  It would be wonderful to find a community, partner, or just a friend to go in this adventure.  Spiritually I have a very simple outlook and desire to be more connected, so I decided to go all in.  Currently, I am renovating and 100+ year old house by hand and plan on buying some land and having it ready before I sell the house.  Not sure where at this point as i am sifting through locations that are friendly to alternative architecture but I know I need a place with access to a city (I'm a mental health therapist and want to work a couple days a week).  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
So, this is the singles section so...the part where I get awkward.  Libra, kind of an introvert until I'm comfortable, spiritual and can get in to deep philosophical conversations with the best of them.  However, my own personal views are very simple and mindful of the present moment.  I got rid of 'types' a long time ago (been out for 30 years) so really looking for someone with a similar outlook, kind, compassionate, and wanting something more.  Be well.

Welcome!  I'm very interested in your idea of a permaculture/off grid community.  Where have you been searching for so far, if at all at this point?  I'm sure restoring a century+ house is a hectic endeavor.  I'm in a similar situation to you.  I'd like to find a place far/close enough to a city that I could travel to work a couple days a week.

Hi Aaron, just wondering if you have made any progress finding a homesteading partner or property yet. Take care
James.

Hello  You seen Luke an interesting character with similar values. I own 2 acres of forest land and am very interested in an off grid lifestyle and earthbag architecture. At the very least we could become advocates and friends.
Sincerely, - Jim

Hello Aaron,

I'm new here too, but I thought I would join the others in welcoming you. I am also a libra and share some of the same personality traits. I always find it interesting and somewhat amusing that star signs express such similarities. If you ever want to chat with a potential friend send a "moosage" my way.

Best wishes,
Alice
