I understand trying to get the best supplies so that your made fiber goods will last for a very long time.
I have made "historic" clothing to fit (bespoke) for a very long time, and have never had a problem with a good quality poly or poly blend thread, even in chemises that get a lot of wear.
The cheap poly and poly blends are proof that you get what you pay for. I am slowly getting rid of all my cheap thread for this reason.
It makes good thread
art and/or basting, or other things that are made/hand made, but not expected to take any wear or be worn.
Thank you all for the wonderful links to new to me places. I look forward to expanding my collection of quality supplies when I finally get through all the UFOs I have stashed away.
