I just read this article on planting mustard along with crops that get attacked by flea beetles.  They have demonstrated that the little beasties prefer to feed on the mustard, and yet the mustard can out grow the damage, thus leaving the other crops alone and giving a mustard co-crop.

Thought that was neat and wanted to share.
