Hi Folks,
I have done a bit of research on this one but can't seem to nail it down. Collected this specimen today on an old rotting bail of hay.  The cap is about 5 inches and it almost looks gelatenous and has the texture of cooked pasta or something like that. I live in the woods of new hampshire if that helps. This is one of the larger mushroom specimens I have found as far as round caps go.

unless you want to spend 20 years ID mushrooms, I vote to compost it.
