I didn't actually hook the thing up, so I have very little information. It's an Outback FM60. I don't think my husband really configured anything on it cause he said it seemed like it was auto detecting what it needed to, but I'm not sure.
We've got 4x100W panels, wired in series. Twelve volt system. There's nothing on the batteries, just the charge controller. We plug in an inverter if we need power, but it's unplugged the rest of the time.
At the end of the day, instead of going into its end of day screen, sometimes it will stay in snoozing mode. Sometimes it stays in floating or MPPT float mode (if we were using
enough power during the day to kick it into that mode) even though it's dark out. Sometimes it clicks around through different modes, tracking, low light, snoozing, like it does in low light conditions when it's trying to figure out what to do. Again, though, it's dark out. We're three kilometres from anything and have no
lights on ourselves, so really dark.
Is it obvious to anyone what's going on or do I have to actually read the stupid manual 😒
