task: it is necessary to equip a place for composting from improvised materials, as a result, a tower was made from oak poles into which garbage and grass were piled after winter

synthetic ropes are stretched on three sides, which are an additional support and are also a trellis for cucumbers.  waste is loaded through the 4rd side. The distance between the horizontal poles is sufficient to load grass, household waste, ashes and small debris, which are compacted under their own weight.  In the spring, cucumbers will be planted at the base of the column, and in this way the pile of compost is kept in an open place and does not interfere.  Considering that the compost is already hot enough, I think that it is possible to cover the tower with greenhouse film or spunbond so that the cucumbers that will grow between the compost and the film begin to bear fruit earlier

the tower is filled with waste, mowed grass and becomes saturated with moisture during rain, and cucumbers like it

Very cool! Did it settle down to half of the height or did you remove part of the compost?

I periodically fill it with cut grass and weeds and it constantly settles

He puts the "turd" in "saturday". Speaking of which, have you smelled this tiny ad?
