Normally I am full of creative ideas. But this is not my usual material.
I got these fence posts (treated roundwood):
If I would not have taken them, they would be dumped! So I took them without knowing what to do with them.
But they can't just 'be' there in the rainy weather for a long time. They need to have a purpose!
I don't need a fence.
I think this forum is full of people with creative ideas. That's why I ask here:
who has an idea for something to make with these things?
"Also, just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them" (Luke 6:31)
I have used fence posts as rollers to move small buildings. They can also serve to keep a non-treated building off the ground to prevent rot. They can also be skids for a sled to move heavy objects.
Depending on your tolerance for the wood treatment, they can be outer supports for pallets that make up a composter (no direct contact). They can also support wires that hold up rows of raspberry canes.
If you genuinely can't find a use, offer to trade them for something you need.
Come to think of it, I used skinny 6' fence posts as the "foundation" for my first greenhouse. I dug/pounded the posts 3' deep and screwed on scrap 2x4's in an "L" shape to form the uprights. A stout plank screwed to the posts supported the scrounged windows on the south. The rest was made of translucent corrugated plastic. Lasted 10 years and the frame was still solid.
If nothing else, fence posts make great anchors for sheds that are on skids -- which sometimes tilt over in extreme winds (and get bashed up).
