We have a new goose on our
land. New by a few months, anyway, when a coworker gave her to me when she could no longer care for her. She's about 8 yrs old and her name is Doc doc and she is just lovely. Until our dog recently dispatched of our remaining hen, the goose had a roomie. With a new
chicken coop built we are about to start a new hen flock. The goose will remain in her current, poultry-less enclosure and I am wondering:
Do geese NEED another goose to be happy?
Doc doc seems to be happier without Laverne (our old red hen, OBM) and she enjoys her daily grazing time, chomping on grass and dandies.
Any goose experts know if she would be happier with a buddy of her own feather?
Thanks
J
