FWIW, reading some threads (e.g. the "should a douglas fir tree be considered a weed?" thread) in Chrome, the width if the posts is far wider than my screen, but the previous post in woodland care -- on making charcoal -- displays as expected. Top section of the page and bottom are screen width even if the posts are wide.
The Chrome dev tools show that table as being 2400+ pixels wide on my 1400 (?) wide screen. Confirmed that extra wide table happens using Mac OS and Vista.

I spent some tie yesterday working on the new forum software.

Hopefully the new software will resolve a lot of problems.

Thanks, Paul.
FWIW, still having the same issue with that doug fir thread running Chrome on Mac OS. No Windows box running to check from right now.

For me (using Firefox), that extra-wide screen "problem" only occurs if the post includes a larger than 'normal' photo.  If the photo is wider than normal, the screen expands to include the entire photo.  I just close my "bookmark window" and everything fits just fine.

It certainly solved the problem I had with pictures not loading in Chrome, thanks.

Another oddity, Chrome on Mac OSX and not tested on Windows flavors. On logon, I get redirected to an error page. Screenshot attached. Reload takes me to the forum home page. In case it's important, this short-circuits Chrome offering to save my password, an option which I have enabled.
Not really a big deal to me, eventually I'll have the darn thing memorized. (Let's see was that Fido1 or fido1)

The bug with pictures not loading in Chrome is back, and I'm getting a
"The last posting from your IP was less than 60 seconds ago. Please try again later."
even though it's my first login of the day.
