A New Ecovillage is forming in central NC!!

Hi,
I recently became an exploratory member of a forming ecovillage, Hart's Mill, here in central NC just northwest of Raleigh.
I am trying to get the word out, because we need more, new, serious members... we would be especially pleased to see interest from families with kids...
We have the land, 115 acres, and the founders are very knowledgeable about how they are going about this...
But we are at a critical growth point where we need things to snowball and would be thrilled to get some more interest..

We need input and dynamic discussion on our progress and ideas on how to proceed.
The first 2-3 homes will hopefully be built this year... a permaculture survey has been done and shows great promise, and if you are interested in learning more about the project itself, please see our website at http://www.hartsmill.net
I can't think of a more reasonable approach to building a community than to go out and seek support and ideas from others with the experience and interests that are needed here!

Unfortunately Im unable to join at this moment (full time university student) but i would love to ask questions amd give feedback.

How are the founders planning the food production? Will each house obtain the majority of their own food on their portion? Or would there be a community farm? Will they implement forest gardens?

Woops, i commented without clicking the links. From the concept map on the website it appears that it would be a community farm

I am very excited about this place too myself. To me it seems that their end goal is to have 50-100ppl or 30 house and each house would get maybe 1/4-1/2acre to grow their own food (maybe bio-intensive style). You would also be able to lease/buy the land/house. And I am assuming that one would also be able to lease an extra piece of the community farm is their is not enough people to "farm" all of it.
