Hello Permies. I am a 26-year-old man looking for an opportunity to work and live on a practising Permaculture farm or homestead in British Columbia. I am married with children. My wife and I have two young children, one 3yrs old and the other 19 months. We’d like to find a farm where there are other children for ours to play with.

Neither my wife nor I have any farming experience, though I did spend time on my grandparents’ ranch when I was younger. We are looking for a place where we can work in exchange for the knowledge and experience to eventually start and run a farm of our own. We would prefer a situation where we could stay in a separate house or cabin so we have our space and you can have yours (like I said, we have two toddlers…)

I currently work as a fabricator/welder and have done so for 8 years. My wife's previous career was as a business administrator. We live comfortably now so this isn’t a change of necessity, but one of desire.
We’d like to be on a farm that includes animals as we recognise the necessity of animals to any natural system, as well as because we are omnivores. I have experience hunting, in case wild animal harvest is part of your system. We’re hoping to see and learn about some eco-building/ alt. energy if possible, though permie farming, food preservation and produce marketing are the essentials.

We would of course like to visit your farm before committing to anything. I’m not sure what else to post so if you have any questions, fire away.

She said she got a brazillian. I think owning people is wrong. That is how I learned ... tiny ad:
