Yeast nutrient in agar?

I have a bag of yeast nutrient laying around, intended for brewing beer. Would it have all the necessary nutrients for mycelium to grow if I made agar with it?

Probably.

I think those of us with internal digestive systems (the Animal Kingdom) are much pickier eaters than those with external digestive systems (the Fungal Kingdom). If your eating strategy is to belch out digestive enzymes to break down what is all around you and then only take in what you need, you wouldn't be a very picky eater either. That's why I think these recipes microbiologists come up with for things like quinoa/sea slug agar is just superstitious alchemy. As long as the medium has 99% carbs and 1% protein, fungi can make a meal out of it.
