Not a weed but invasive and edible wild food… I had 2 (Autumn Olive Shrubs)—-Service Berry…
Of which I collected the berries to make to most awesome tart jam.
Much to my dismay, one of my neighbors cut one of them down to the ground!☹️
They came on my property!
I was not happy, but I still have 1 left.
I love edible weeds and I let them live in my vegetable garden.

Would it be possible to create a radiant solar powered heated floor system that you could then lay another layer of plywood on?
Or make a solar powered heated mat, like for seed starting?

Make baskets! Even  tiny ones out of pine needles. Gather grape vines, pine needles, tall grasses etc.
And weave away in winter.

We have found it near our home, in the mountains of WV.
I’d say we have a lifetime supply in the woods. My husband is great at spotting it.
We are careful not to over harvest it!!!
We put a couple chunks in a crock pot, fill with H20 set it on low. We like to drink ours cold.
It is more thirst quenching than water.

M Rives wrote:My wife quilts. Over the years, she has become quite good, I think... She created an applique design for the cat from a photo then put it all together and quilted it. The horse started as a blank white piece of fabric which she painted and then did more thread painting on top. The larger quilt includes some intersting over/under 3D imagery with the 'ribbons' of thread. She rotates through hanging these and many others on our walls.

We also have some other paintings and sculptures done by our friends which are boxed up until we finish our new home.

Your wife is truly gifted!
She has made such beautiful art it really drew me in looking at every detail.
I can only imagine the joy she must’ve felt through the process and when she finished!

Timothy Norton wrote:I personally love oil paintings that have texture to them. The ones where you look closely and see the globs of paint that just enhance whatever the painting is. I wonder if other people appreciate art as well and have it in their home.

Now is my big ask. Please consider sharing pictures of the art you have at home!

These are a few pieces of art that I have done, they do hang on my walls, I love walls with lots of art.

I'm thinking you're probably using a more natural type of dish soap, if not check your brand on the internet and see where it stacks up on the toxic scorecard.

Yep, I'm scent sensitive and chemical sensitive as well. It's Eco ___? Get it by the gallon at my coop. A gallon lasts us about 6 months and it's used every day.

I suppose that's another "use less" idea right? Buy what you can in bulk!

If you're not scent sensitive and you have to have shampoo, you can buy (or used to be able to) shampoo concentrates at Sally's by the gallon. It's how beauty shops get their shampoo, or was. My scent sensitivity showed up just around the time of "aromatherapy" and every damned one at Sally's was perfumed when I ran out of my old stuff, so I haven't bought any shampoo concentrate in > a decade !

I found and unscented shampoo bar that comes in a cardboard paper box
