Have been using the berkey for three years now and we love it for filtering our drinking water. No filter on our well and the water is pretty good. 430ft deep and sometimes I drink straight from the tap no filter and have never had a problem with it. I like the berkey water though it tastes great and I’m confident it would filter rain water or anything else in an emergency which is really why we got it but wanted to try it and never stopped!

Jay I am sorry for your loss. We have done this several times now or at least something very similar. Planting a tree or shrub over the grave of a lost friend is a nice way to honor them and give their final energy back to the circle of life. I have a tree nursery bed out in the garden with saplings and some seed started trees to use as I reforest our little property. This has been my system since we started keeping chickens.

I also received the message “I’m at $25” and had to check to make sure I was still locked in higher.

Thanks Mike! Alternatively could I improve on the size or scope of something like a toad house and get credit for that then if I didn’t have a before photo?

I have a question about completing BBs... is it possible to submit projects I have already completed on our property to count for a BB and then eventually a badge. For example if I have piled up a nice stack of brush for animal/insect habitat and/or have stacked two rock pile toad/snake habitats in the garden or perhaps the water heater and pressure tank we replaced shortly after we moved in. Could I submit photos of those completed and get credit for them or will I have to do any/all of that again? If this has already been answered I apologize for bringing it back up but I have been unable to find it.

I have been following the forums for a while now but had never done a Kickstarter before. Happy to post that I have taken the plunge to support the skip book at the $65 level and look forward to becoming more active on this site and using the things I have learned here on our homestead!
