I have some of Masanobu Fukuoka's books and have started looking at related online material again because I've just acquired a small allotment on a trial basis. It was him who inspired me to get one, yet I don't know where to start. I'm in the South of England, UK and would really appreciate suggestions if anyone has any.

Hi, I'm not sure how to search for the answer I'm looking for so here's my question... if I wanted to add things like cacao / nuts / berries to homemade raw goat kefir and have it all well fermented what options do I have? I.e does it harm the strained kefir if I add things and let it sit? Would fructose / carbs / anti nutrients / caffeine fully ferment that way? Or would I be better off fermenting the additions seperately and then adding to the kefir? I watched a video about fermenting a topping for yoghurt with whey and salt but have never used whey before. I'm also not sure whether adding a salty mixture to the kefir just before eating would harm the probiotics. Another video showed seeds being fermented with a probiotic capsule. Have often come across advice to soak things in kefir but not sure how long this can be done for. My only other experience so far is with homemade sauerkraut. TIA 🙏

Hi I'm thinking of learning to knit and think I might enjoy kniting a jumper for example (inspiration pic below). I was trying jumpers made from animal yarns (all itchy so far). I was going to try Cashmere next then read about the mistreatment of Cashmere goats. I'm feeling conflicted in my relationship with animals in general and thought I might consider a hemp / cotton yarn. Thinking of learning to spin also. Does anyone have any thoughts on it's suitability for a jumper or the like? And please feel free to chip on the animal thing because I really don't know. I don't feel very comfortable with the idea of keeping animals captive but I've never kept any. That's where I'm at, thanks.
