The results of our first field tests are coming in and the results are encouraging.
The photo is of a single tomato plant under a mycoboard.

One of our team is contacting the participant to interview him and obtain more specific data.
That will be posted when available.

Questions for May 18th Interview with Steve:

1) It is great to have the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf but they coast over $30,000.
How can we drive affordable electric cars this year?

2) Do you see the cost of solar coming down to maybe $1USD a watt to make electic transport more of a vialble option for the average man?

3) Do you think any of the pie in the sky battery inventions will come to fruition soon? We always here of MIT or some other group making breakthrough that will be ready in four years. If so what technologies should we watch and invest in.

Kindly,
Campy

I am sure you keep and reuse all of those trashbags?

Tree trimers here have to pay to dump their chips.
So you may consider charging them.

I have been hearing that blueberry bushes like Oak chips because they are acidic.

We have a little sawmill so boards work very well.
Tree surgery companies also drop off as many loads of wood chips as I can handle.

I learned from a colleague that blue berries like to be covered in White Oak chips.
Oak is a very acidic wood and they like that.

The soil where we were was sandy and rocky.
Bring in some leaves, wood chips, compost and other goodies.

Mowing the lawn kills insects.
So, don't mow the lawn.

We stopped mowing in 2011 and the population of wild birds really grew.

They sing songs and altogether make things nicer.

Also, my chickens have more bugs to eat.

I just mow a few paths so I can get around the place.

Tony - when we run the sawmill sawdust is mixed with the soil in large volumes.
The tires of the skid steer constantly churn it into the soil.
Not much happens with mushrooms or vegetation.
The soil seems to absorb it and grass grows a little slower than usual.

I suppose a stake could go right into the central hole when the tomato plant is small.
