Selling small trees from my property?

I have a field on my property that’s being reclaimed by green giants, Leyland Cypress and long leaf pine.  I’m wondering if I can sell the smaller trees somehow. I was thinking I could rent a small backhoe and just spend a couple days popping them out of the ground, dropping them in pots, and selling them for cheap. Is this a fesaible plan? Could I sell to a landscape supply company? Any suggestions/ experience would be awesome, thanks.

Selling trees is great, but best to keep them in the ground until you have a line on a buyer or an order in hand.
Most trees can be hand dug and the rootball wrapped in burlap for sale and transport.

When you line up a sale, you might give a discount for them to dig their own and avoid all the work.

Also remember that renting a backhoe from most places is usually not cheap and does a fairly poor job of preserving a rootball.  A hydraulic tree spade does a great job of this (as designed!)
