hello,

I am building a rocket stove for a ranch home with about 1600 sqft of living space that is very well insulated. Winters here in North MA can be cold but I can use only a little more then 1 tank of oil for heat...

I am wondering what the sizing considerations would be for a barrel... would a 55 or 30 be best? Does the 55 allow for more heat generation? can the 55 use a 6 inch duct system, or should it be 8 inch duct work?

Thanks
Harold

I bet that would be answered in the book :

Let us know how your Rocket Heater turns out

I want to make one too
