I tried to add my location to my profile. But it does not accept it and keeps complaining that '*' fields are mandatory. The only empty '*' fields I see are password and email - and those are explicitly not required unless you're changing your password or email.
So it does - my bad. I assumed that after hitting 'submit' there would be some confirmation that a change had been made. All the expanded sections close up too, so you can't see that the change persisted.
I like seeing people's location etc without needing to go into their profile.
It's high on the tech's list, but in the meantime, my climate/location's my signature.

There is. It's a green 'Information updated" message on top. A little subtle I realize, but is is there.
