question for ernie & erica

i am interested in building a rocket stove in my cabin in Roxbury, VT. i always see benches as the thermal mass battery. is there anything wrong with setting it up to heat part of the flooring. my partner does yoga and i am interested in creating a toasty space for her. i may be able to attend your workshop at Yestermorrow in September but i live in PA and not sure if i can get the time off of work. do you have a place scheduled in Vermont where you will be building the rocket stove? is it overkill to build a rocket stove in a 450sf cabin? i just want to be environmentally efficient. thank you. hope to see you in September.

yes you can heat part of the floor you can build the whole stove in the floor if you wish. we will be at yestermorrow http://www.yestermorrow.org/workshops/detail/rocket-stove-design-build that might work better for you we will be discussing this stuff we will be doing test beds. we also like to stack things so we have a good reason to come out east. any way take a look.
