Managed to catch this guy JUST as he was coming up from the ground!  I was pulling out a stray strand of grass growing into the mulch.

I thought it was a little amusing to have a June bug come out first thing in the morning on the first day of June. :D

I moved him over onto the pile of bishops weed that is directly below a robins nest, in case the lady of the nest wanted a big juicy beetle.
