I've got big patches of Clover (White Flowers) on the lawn. I know a certain amount of Clover is recommended by some people - but mine seems to be getting out of control.
Someone recommended careful application of vinegar to the clover leaves (trying to not get the grass). Is that total lunacy - or well founded advice?
Or - if anyone has other tips - it would much appreciated.
Vinegar is highly acidic. So if you spray acid on a plant, it will usually die.
Clover is a sign of low nitrogen. Wherever you more clover than you want, toss out some fertilizer. That will encourage the grass to beat out the clover!
