these guys are getting 14% efficiency at 100c.
higher heat, better efficiency. will run off basic Brillouin at these temps tho.

what's the price tag?

and what's this "Brillouin" you keep going on about? Is it another one of those free energy devices? or is it something real that anyone can replicate?

did you contact them ? Is hard to build a good quality Sterling.
prob gonna be a couple thousand. most home built ones are in the 3-7% range.

Brillouin is building a LENR device to make hot water. He has figured out the action that all the scientists were using for hydrogen catalyzation on nickle and platinum, and sped up the process to milleseconds, creating a "free" energy source.

Lower down post , you can find a link to build your own.
second link goes to PESN, where you read how it works.

did you read down the links? On the Brill page at PESN?

one of the last ones is 3rd party re-producers. Niclepower.
or the build your own link.

yeah, I read the DIY version, but it didn't look very DIY to me. Lots of exotic materials and requirements.

I'm still trying to find a replication in a peer-reviewed publication.

supposedly, that DIY version was made by a high school in Italy, though no verification that it works, like a simple youtube video. I also don't see any mention of power output, fuel consumption, etc.

Also, the stuff they are using is very dangerous, please don't try this at home.

Many of those "replications" are just rumors that someone did it. No verification or evidence.

I tinkered around building a couple Stirling engines. There's no danger of becoming a mainstream prime mover anytime soon. I might use it in an emergency for a simple to build engine while you were building something more permanent---but you could just as soon do that with a Tesla turbine which is the simplest method of converting heat to mechanical energy I am aware of. The problem lies in the piston rings. It's hard to find a material or a system like a diaphragm that will hold compression without causing excessive friction in the cylinder. The one they used in the Mars rover was something like half million bucks just for the engine.

Plus, just like a boiler a Stirling requires a heating up period to reaching operating temperatures, during which time you're wasting fuel without getting any work. Where an ICE delivers power immediately.
