I looked for moringa seeds and they seem to be something rare and expensive. If I go to the Indian shop and buy some fresh pods - would the seeds inside be ripe and viable?

I found some on eBay that seemed like they might be viable, though they were being sold as food.  Some nuts and seeds are heat treated even when they're sold as raw (enough to kill bugs that might hatch out in them.) If the pods are still fresh, then it's pretty unlikely that the seeds will be mature and viable (from my experience with things other than moringa), but if the price is reasonable, doesn't hurt to buy some and find out. Worst case scenario is that you end up with food instead of seeds.
