After 9 years we have made the tough choice to re-locate in order to be closer to our family. Our small farm has been a labour of love and still is. If you are interested in buying a property in the north of Portugal read on....
Our farm consists of just under 2 hectares of land. Just over half a hectare consists of 'Urbano' land which means it is possible to build, the rest is 'Rustico' which is agricultural. There are several buildings on the land consisting of:
*A wood cabin constructed in 2017 in which we currently live. It consists of one room 4m x 9.5m with half divided for the bedroom area. A full kitchen, bathroom with shower and compost toilet. Covered terrace of 4m x 3.5m which also houses covered outside storage and utilities (fridge, water heater etc.).
*1 granite ruin 100m2 with approval for restoration to a 2 bedroom house.
* 1 granite ruin with 78m2
*1 restored granite 'shed' with approximately 7.5m x 4m
* 1 cedar and polycarbonate greenhouse 3m x 4m
* Outside kitchen 5m x 4m wooden construction with metal roof and brick oven
* Outside dining area 5m x 4m wood frame with metal roof
* outside shower area with solar water heater
* several compost toilets throughout the property.

The land consists of about 6000m2 relatively steep terraced area (facing West) with predominantly olive and orange trees but some oak, chestnut and other fruit trees. The remainder of the land is also terraced but on less gradient and faces south. Here you will find a nascent food forest, with a variety of fruit and nut trees, many mature sweet chestnut and oak trees. We are completely self sufficient in fire wood and have various exchanges with friends who supply us with other services in exchange for wood. It is also a valuable source of building material. There is also a large vegetable production area (250m2) and a 3000m2 pasture which until recently had 2 horses but now awaits your imagination!
The property has a borehole for self supply of water, as well as being connected to the local supply. It also has access to the village irrigation system with rights throughout the summer. There are water pipes throughout the land. There is also a connection to the electrical supply as well as solar.
We have run a small scale 'glamping' business here for the last 9 years. There is infrastructure for this such as the compost toilets and tent platforms.
It is located on the edge of a small village but close to two major towns. We are only a few KM from the national park.
You can find a bunch of photos of the farm and surrounding area on our instagram account if you search for @figoverde
We are open to the option of selling the entire outfit ready to go, or just the land. We would be happy to answer any questions. Please DM for the price.

Hey Guenther,
Your question is difficult to answer. Buying land is not the same as buying an apartment. No two places are equal. Price depends on so many factors. Best advice is look at real estate websites for the area you are thinking to move to. They will give you a fair idea of what you can get for your budget.
