Hello friends!

I would love to hear from you. I am looking to create a master list of techniques to manage waste.
This is a very large task and includes so much.. from re-purposing, up-cycling, biological waste management, and the variety of different composting techniques available.
Whether it is waste from you farm, your garden, your animals, your household or your community. ALL THE WASTE ~

My intention is to create a demonstration lab that functions as a community compost center, research and development center in waste management, and helps to make regenerative agriculture education more accessible- all while creating a good amount of usable output for revenue.  But I need to know all the ways one can harness waste as a gift- how it can be transformed- so I can create a plan of what I can demo in my region and land.

Help!

I'd be interested to see more communities make use of pyrolysis as a way to deal with waste plastics. Some grades of plastic require special equipment, but most grades can be pyrolyzed using a process not too different from that of making moonshine. The result is chemically similar to light sweet crude oil, and can be further refined into things like gasoline and fuel oil.

You can buy machines to handle the entire process, or there are lots of plans available online for making your own. But, I have yet to hear of a community making use of them. It seems to be relegated to backyard tinkerers for now. Hopefully that will change soon.
