Hi friends,
We sit at a crucial juncture in the development of 1919 78th st. in Vancouver Washington. We need to let Clark County Commissioners know that they are almost there- almost at the edge of creating an 80 acre internationally regarded permaculture school. Ive talked with Geoff Lawton, with Robyn Francis, Toby Hemenway, Marisha Auerbach, and other permie teachers near and far about the opportunities at this site. They will have to express their own hearts on this, but i feel confident in their initial curiosity. The survey is up and they will answer for themselves, which is all any of us do. I have also talked with financiers who are arranging multi million dollar green business transactions and want to tell Clark that this site embodies a process and product they believe in. Ive talked to dozens of local farmers. Were presenting to the farm bureau soon. Were confident. As permaculture teachers around the region sign this petition, as green businesses sign this petition, and as you folks and world citizens sign this petition, we will make it happen. While you cant see the results at the petition site, I will be posting them to my web page, by the weeks end. The petition runs through June 2, so PASS IT AROUND!

Let them know that if there was an 80 acre permaculture project in Clark with international teachers visiting (ala Geoff Lawtons 'permaculture centers around the world') and if it was run with a working farm, local youthinvolvement, an onsite organic brewpub and winery, community gardens, 20 acres of food forest- let them know you would come and be party of this great changing.
