Any Beekeepers in minnesota willing to share your vast knowledge with a novice?

Hello i am interested in bee keeping in minnesota and i have been looking for forums clubs or any info about bee keeping in minnesota looking forward to your comments thanks in advance oh btw i live in the owatonna area or south central minnesota

We are about 20 miles south of Owatonna. We have three colonies at present. We would be happy to talk to you about bees if you want to come down. Send me a private message.

I lost three hives in 2 years...the last two right when spring was starting but there was no spraying yet anywhere. My uncle is in a similar area one hour north with TOP BAR hives...he has great success. He keeps them far apart, but they survive the winter and do very well. I will switch to his method next year. Im in Alexandria..he is in Frazee...

The University of Minnesota Bee Lab has some public courses coming up this spring and are low cost considering you're getting a course from a college. It's a course I'm looking to take as well. It may not be Permaculture focused but it's bound to have useful information none-the-less.
