Just curious, I grew up near Seattle (Des Moines) and went to outdoor school at Camp Waskowitz near North Bend, as a 6rh grader and high schooler. Awesome fun times, learned a ton. ANybody else? PS, I drove up past there a few years ago and was utterly HORRIFIED at the sprawl cancer getting all the way up to North Bend. wah!

I went in 6th grade.  I was always into nature and that camp moved me even further into it. We went to a salmon hatchery and even got to let out very own salmon fingerling go in the river at camp.  Had all sorts of fun. Saw bears. Had a snow sculpting contest and made huge works of art out of snow.  I will never forget it..  I think if someone has a permaculture farm that may want to think about building the facility to host large groups of kids and have a camp like this only put permaculture in with the natural PNW info.
