The Domes is a cooperative community that has been around for the last 40 years starting in 1972. The original Domies will be back from August 17th-19th so we are trying to do build this oven that weekend. Everyone is welcome to join us in the endeavor.
UC Davis has tried to shut down the Domes 9 times throughout its 40 year history. Their last effort was last summer when all of the Domies were evicted but then we re-opened in January. Basically we have 4 more years to prove our academic worth, which means we have to do lots of cool things like build cob ovens and the like.
