Flax!

Hey guys! I am just about to cut down my first crop of flax, and have started looking into crop rotation. Also reading about flax taking out a lot of moisture from the top layer of the soil.
I have a hugel bed around 10 square meters, so this is not at all a big farm, more so to learn, experiment and teach (we have a small "association" of permaculture with an aim of bringing food forests into cities and into the brains of the common person).

What to you guys suggest i grow here now in august after the flax? I am located in Stockholm, zone 7a. Ideas? would funghi be something to consider?

My favorite is winter wheat which will provide feed for the chickens next late spring. The whet is ready about the time the chickens are big enough to peck the grain off the stalk so it does not require any extra work to feed it to them; just cut and throw it in to them.
