I think this is a very good answer.


The proper answer for any given individual balances time/money/skill/location as well as what you value.

I also like that the speaker mentions getting started now, on a small scale, with what you have.  
I admit I'm one of those sorts of people who sits there and pours over plans for a "perfect" installation night after night (and therefore, never does anything).  Instead, I could slap some fan blades to an old washing machine motor and give it a try. Which is really more, 50 real volts or 50kv of dreamed volts?

(Maybe I need to read my own forum signature below.  LOL!)
