I am in the process of designing a forest garden and found a few plants/shrub which looked interesting but could not find anyone who's had personal experience with them in forum or in books. What I mostly want to make sure these plants will not become invasive in my urban garden. By invasive I mean I will not be able to control them very easily or at all. I live in Canada in a Zone 4 climate in a new subdivision about two years old.
I have pea shrub and Amorpha fruticosa (close relative of nana) the pea shrub is definitely not opportunistic, the amorpha is slightly... but not really a big problem. Anway, since it's a good n fixer you can just chop and drop any plants that do pop up.

No, at Darrell Frey's farm there is a 20 + year old pea shrub hedge that has not expanded at all. I have managed to germinate some of the seeds though!
