Soil Contamination?

I was getting ready to start planting today when I found an NIMH battery on the soil. It wasn't leaking but that still seems sketchy. What do you think? Is it safe to plant? Do I have to do some kind of decontamination?

Nelson, that type of battery is considered more environmentally friendly as it does not contain toxic heavy metals.

I hope that you disposed of it properly.

Look at growing mushrooms in that area.
