Beautiful sun-filled, 3-bedroom home in Seattle (just south of Columbia City), with large organic food garden, available August 1.
Split-level home, 1380 sq. ft., 2 bedrooms plus bath upstairs, 1 small bedroom and a small sunny sitting room plus .75 bath in lower level. Large living room with dining ell. Lots of windows facing south, with good passive solar heat. Well-insulated (walls, ceiling, floor, windows). Oak floors. Off-street parking.
Move in to a wonderfully productive organic garden, with terraced beds on a south-facing hill. The whole yard is garden space, planted and ready to harvest for the summer and fall, with vegetable, flowers, herbs, many fruits (apples, berries, kiwis, grapes, cherries, plums, persimmons, etc.), and nuts.
If you’d like to plant your fall/winter garden sooner than August, I can let you garden one plot starting as soon as you sign the lease.
Within walking distance of Seward Park, Martha Washington Park, PCC food coop, and Columbia City community and shopping. On good bus routes and close to the new Sound Transit line.
No smoking, no pets. 12-month lease.
This has been my own home for the past 16 years. I am relocating for a job, and looking for someone who will treat home and garden with care. This home and yard should go to someone who is excited about gardening.
Rent is $1500/m, or Gardener’s Special: $1450 if you commit to taking good organic care of the yard and garden. We are also willing to discuss renting it (partially) furnished, or to rent for less money without including the lower-floor bedroom, which we would use for storage.
Contact Elizabeth Walker, 206.725.6926, or ecwalker@speakeasy.net. Can send photos.

I FEEL suave and debonair. Why can't you be as supportive as this tiny ad?
