Greetings. I have been doing some online research for good companion plants for coffee trees to integrate into a food forest design. This will be in Uganda on a permaculture demonstration farm. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I have read there is a 30% drop in coffee productivity if it is grown as an understorey plant (it's natural habitat..) Of course against that has to be balanced the productivity of the shading fruit trees in the same area and the decrease in water required by the coffee plants. Sorry, I dont have a handy list of coffee guild plants.
Hi grant, this is sharon in uganda. I started permaculture at an early age of 18 am really loving it. Am now a suistainable designer working with forever forestry in uganda. I have come to knw that yo having a project in uganda and i wil be more happy to volunteer or help in any way. Thanks.
