I am wondering how an EPA stove with the secondary burn compares to a rocket stove [without thermal mass] for space heating?
I realize the tremendous advantages of the rocket mass heater with the thermal battery.
But I am wondering if for just space heating does a rocket with a drum or a pocket rocket have advantages over the EPA type stoves with the added air for secondary combustion.
I love the rockets, but ask because I have insurance concerns as well as being curious.
Thanks you.

I think EPA's and pocket rockets are pretty close in efficiency when run properly.
