We are the organisation "Smiltenei un Latvijai" (For Smiltene and for Latvia) , and a non profit organization registered with the Latvian authorites. At the moment we compries 15 active members, who intend to make the world a little better. One of the main features of the existing layout is an old barn we are planning to turn into a training center. Once the education centre (located in the barn) is up and running, much of the training offered will be of great use to unemployed persons, especially from a rural background. Moreover, as well as language courses this new center is intended to provide an understanding of ecology and economy. Self-sufficiency is the motto. Please help us and be a part of our community.
